technology schmecknology
I remember my first triumph of technology was hooking up my first VCR by myself . There's something I AM WOMAN about getting the job done solo. Not so much with 2.0 - I find that the socialness of learning both appeals to and frustrates me. Getting a picture added to my blog took much more time than I thought it would and I managed to stump a couple of the folks in the process. Tenaciousness is its own reward.

I agree that much of high tech is an exercise in patience but thankfully require only a modest amount of skill. Wonder if the learning curve flattens for a particular application if we become adept at another one? My daughter eats this up and loves it, and so do her peers. Generational differences do make a difference. (Gray hair and bifocals but lots of experience might help compensate.)
Difficult? yes.
Amazing? yes as well. Frustrating? ABSOLUTELY.
Once learned - achievable.
Once practiced - easy.
The learning curve of life is much like the technology learning curve. If I only knew what I know now 20 years ago.
